- I'm a Blogger by nature, but I just discovered that about myself the first week of February 2005. I have always been something of a writer, and I have always liked off the top of my head mini shorts. I am a huge fan of 50 word fictions. Some of my poetry is written in very free style and some of it is in the most constrained form, so that tells you a little about me. I am fussy about typos and spelling and it irritates me when I see that others aren't. At any rate, keeping a more or less daily Web Log is right up my alley and I am really enjoying what has resulted in a few short weeks of experimenting around with my family.

Fraid so, Bud. I don't know who is gonna be throwing the ball around Oakland, but he is going to be having a banner year, and he will be a real hero when he takes the Raiders to the Super Bowl. Just remember, You heard it here first on the Northup Family BLOG.
I don't know. The Raiders defense wasn't any better than the Vikes last year. I don't mind that they traded him, I just wish they would've gotten more for him. There's a lot of good players being released due to cap issues. Maybe the Vikes will pick up Ty Law.
Good point, Frankie. I agree with you, but I think Randy will shine in any system other than the Vikings, because I believe Culpepper has it in his head that he has to look for the other guys. When He was told to concentrate on Moss, he was forcing it in there, so they had to get him away from that Mind-Set. I don't think he is a quick enough thinker to figure it out on a play by play basis. If he had someone in there like Manning, he would have nothing but 200 yard games. That's not likely to happen, but about any quarterback has to be better than Culpepper. Daunte has his strong points, don't get me wrong, but figuring out who to throw the ball to is not one of them.
I actually have to agree a little with jo here. I feel that a lot of the important plays have been flubbed do to his arrogance. I just hope that the money is reinvested in our defensive line instead of getting another superstar reciever. I feel that there is still a great deal of talent in our offensive lineup and it needs to be utilized. Besides offensive never won a superbowl.
